    Dunny Dash respects the intellectual property rights of photographers, creators, rights-holders, councils, and data providers. We display publicly available location content from third-party providers, public databases, and user-generated content ("UGC").

    We do not claim ownership over third-party content and we process valid copyright complaints in accordance with widely accepted legal standards, including DMCA principles.

    Sources of displayed content include:

    • Google Maps / Google Places
    • Microsoft Bing Image Search
    • OpenStreetMap contributors
    • Local council or government open datasets
    • Publicly available web photography
    • API-aggregated images and metadata

    Required attribution is displayed throughout the site:

    • "Photos provided by Google Places / Google Maps © Google."
    • "Image search results powered by Microsoft Bing © Microsoft."
    • "Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors."

    We do not remove watermarks or ownership notices added by content sources.

    2. User-Generated Content (UGC)

    Dunny Dash may allow users to submit photos, reviews, corrections, or other content. By uploading content, you:

    • Retain full ownership of your content
    • Grant Dunny Dash a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, resize, distribute, and use your content on the Platform
    • Confirm that you hold the necessary rights to the uploaded material
    • Agree not to upload illegal, infringing, harmful, or misleading material

    We may moderate or remove UGC at our discretion or when legally required.

    3. Our Copyright Policy

    Dunny Dash complies with applicable copyright laws, including:

    • The DMCA Safe Harbor framework
    • The Australian Copyright Act
    • Global best practices for online hosting platforms

    We remove access to infringing material upon receiving a valid takedown notice.

    4. How to Submit a Copyright Takedown Request

    If you believe Dunny Dash displays content you own without permission, please send a written notice to:

    Your notice must include:

    A. Your Contact Details

    • Full name
    • Email
    • Phone number
    • Postal or physical address

    B. Identification of Your Work

    Provide a description of the copyrighted work, such as a photograph or written material.

    C. Exact URL(s)

    Include direct Dunny Dash URLs where the content appears.

    D. Good-Faith Statement

    "I have a good-faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

    E. Accuracy & Authority Statement

    "I declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf."

    F. Signature

    A digital or typed signature is acceptable.

    Missing information may delay review.

    5. What Happens After You Submit a Notice

    Upon receiving a valid notice, Dunny Dash will:

    • Review the claim
    • Verify completeness of required elements
    • Remove or disable access to the material
    • Document the request internally
    • Notify the uploader if UGC is involved
    • Confirm the removal with you
    • Block repeat infringing sources or users when appropriate

    Processing Time

    Copyright notices are processed during business days (Monday to Friday). Requests submitted on weekends or public holidays are handled on the next business day. We aim to act promptly but cannot guarantee exact timelines.

    6. Counter-Notice Procedure

    If content was removed due to mistake or misidentification, the uploader may submit a counter-notice to support@dunnydash.com.

    A valid counter-notice must include:

    • Full name and contact details
    • The URL where the removed content previously appeared
    • A statement explaining the mistaken removal
    • Consent to jurisdiction of relevant courts (Australia or United States)
    • A physical or electronic signature

    Once received:

    • The counter-notice is forwarded to the original complainant
    • If the complainant does not seek a court order within 10–14 business days, the content may be restored
    • Both parties are notified of the outcome

    7. Repeat Infringers & Abuse

    Dunny Dash may take enforcement actions including:

    • Suspending or banning repeat infringers
    • Blocking data sources repeatedly identified as infringing
    • Preventing automated systems from re-uploading protected content
    • Applying escalating enforcement measures when appropriate

    8. Record-Keeping

    We maintain internal records of:

    • Takedown notices
    • Counter-notices
    • Removals
    • Correspondence
    • Timestamps and processing records

    Records are retained for a minimum of two years.
